region, yet the parish register itself gave little reason to suspect its accuracy. The study of Annas family progressed only after it was noticed by Leslie Mahler that she was identified as
a sister by two Bincks brothers who died testate in the Surrey suburbs of London. Between them, they used both of her married names and identified her as a resident of Billingborough.
